The Dr. Angela N. Bullock Foundation is a non-profit organization created to honor the legacy of Dr. Angela N. Bullock. This foundation is committed to promoting social justice, equality and furthering education opportunities for single mothers and young mothers who chose to enter the profession of Social Work. We are dedicated to the principles of excellence, integrity and respect for all people. We strive to make a difference in the lives of those we serve and to honor Dr. Angela N. Bullock.

Even though, Dr. Angela Bullock was not a single mother, nor did she have her son at a young age, her desire to ensure that all women were granted the ability to pursue their goals and obtain a degree in higher education is what drives this foundation. Dr. Bullock was known for encourage friends and colleagues to continue their education despite their life circumstances. Dr. Bullock understood how furthering your education can provide many opportunities both financially and professionally.

Dr. Angela Bullock has several years of experience in the human services field. Prior to matriculating into higher education, Dr. Bullock has been employed at Atlanta Housing Authority, St. Jude’s Recovery Center, and Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services. Dr. Bullock also prided herself with being a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Washington D.C. She earned a doctoral degree in Social Work with an emphasis on policy, planning and administration of human service organizations at Clark Atlanta University. Dr. Bullock initiated her career in academia at Kennesaw State University’s Wellstar College of Health and Human Services. Dr. Bullock served as Program Director and Associate Professor at the University of the District of Columbia.

Our mission is to recognize, empower, and inspire young mothers and single mothers to reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their community, while providing educational support and resources.
Our Vision
The Vision of this Foundation is to empower single mothers and young mothers to take charge of their future and make a positive impact in their communities. We strive to provide financial assistance to any single mother or young mother seeking to further their education in the field of Social Work. We believe in the power of education to break barriers and create meaningful opportunities for these mothers and their families. We want to create a better future for the next generation by investing in the education and well-being of single mothers and young mothers today.
